Apparently, when A collides B then the momentum is transferred from A to B. So essentially, Pi=Pf, however the Impulse of B is in the opposite direction to impulse of A? I don't understand that

So B is stationary initially right?

Impulse is change in momentum, impulse of A is , so it's gonna be negative (assuming right is positive) because will be less than . Impulse of B is also , it's gonna be positive because and , so yeah they're in opposite directions.
