82-87/90  :D It was possibly the longest and most twisting exam, but definitely not the hardest.

73/90.

Mistakes:

Pulley question: a = 2.5 m s-2 [should be 2.0  m s-2. (-2)
Work done = 1J [should be 0.8J] (should be consequential, so -0 hopefully).
Spring constant = 100 N m-1 [should be 50 N m-1] .  (-2)
Energy difference = 0 J [should be 4J] (owing to the last question).  (-2)
Misread and gave graph for Ek in question 17. (-2)
Said current through second circuit was 6 mA (was 10 mA but I changed it). (-2)
Miscalculated R for the voltage divider. (-2)
Got linear region wrong (± 300 mV instead of ±200 mV) (-1)
(Further electronics)
Question 8: Said graph D when it's probably C (-2)
Question 11: Wrong power (didn't use average) (-2)

-If i wrote 6 degrees in the box, but 5.7 for the final answer, is that okay?

If I got the aomplifier question wrong (2marks) then the graph was drawn according to my answer (3marks) are there consequential marks? (eg. -1)?

82-83/90

-2 lost for accel of two boxes
-then one off for the consequential... (not sure howconsequential works however. teacher claims i can still get full marks for this...)
- 2 off for 0J vs 4J q
- 2 off for a structures

≤77/90.

Mistakes:

Pulley question: a = 2.5 m s-2. (-2)
Work done = 1J (should be consequential, so -0 hopefully).
Spring constant = 100 N m-1.  (-2)

Miscalculated R for the voltage divider. (-2)
Got linear region wrong (± 300 mV instead of ±200 mV) (-1)

I don't know how many further electronics questions I got wrong... probably at least two. (-4)

That brings me down to 73/90. Great.

you might be able to scrape consequential for the spring one?

I don't agree with itute's answers..  . particularly on Motion 14 - Difference in total energy. Why isn't it 0J? Isn't energy conserved?

I have no chance of consequentials for the energy question, I just said "total energy is conserved therefore the difference is a big fat zero!!" and I made a smiley face with the exclamation marks, hope my gayness picks up a smile from the assessor so he is generous with me...

lol.

This has been addressed. Quite comprehensively I might add. I'll get the link...

Here is part of her explanation. There is more before or after this post; just have a look on the adjacent pages.

Lost 4 marks on the 2 blocks question.
1 mark on current for the second electronics question. Consequential for writing I=V/R I think. Wrote 5 instead of 10. Grrrr.
2 marks for possible wrong explanations.
2 marks for not drawing forces on bike. (WTF)

81/90. Not happy Jan.

if you got q3 wrong and used that answer in q4 you should get full marks for q4.

80 :| :|  Death.

EDIT:
Ok, thought I'd put what I think I lost marks on... So I don't forget..

3. Two block acceleration.(-1)
4. Consequently the Ek(-1)
5. Put one for weight, and one arrow straight up(reaction) (-1)
6. Wrote 57o not 5.7o xD (-1)
13. Spring constant; used energy.. (-1 or 2)
14. Change in energy of spring-mass system; I said 0J, it was 4J ... Perhaps a glimmer of hope for consequential... (-1 or 2)
17. Thought it was talking about Ek... Not momentum (-2)

Structures
4. No idea what this is lol, but everyone says it was C; I chose D.. (-2?) hopefully got this right :P ...

EDIT: After looking at the exam I am certain I chose C. But the sheet I brought home says D :| hopefully I got it right.

Well you would have copied your answers into your MC booklet from the answer sheet :P So I think you'd get it right
