Yeah I suspect that most of the state wrote 6 (the state that got it right) and they decide that both 6 and 7 are acceptable (depending on what they have as their answer)

They wouldn't want to take marks of a lot of people like that (I sincerely hope)

However I can goto school and tell everyone that VCAA said that 7 was the only accepted answer (Let them sweat it out)

(does VN think I'm sadistic?)

But technically you can't 'calculate' the number of total double bonds really..

Well with the easiness of this exam I'm sure they'd be MORE than happy to take off that mark to seperate the top performers

I did 6 too dw

Yea you're right, and I doubt they were looking for 7 double bonds.

yeah kenny got a point
last year had a double bond Q didnt it?? it didnt include c=o

it wasn't a fatty acid, didn't have a C=O..but DW lol I hope 6 is accepted, I put that too!!!

Nah I don't think VCAA is conforms to consensus opinion. Especially considering that question on Methods exam 1 - 94% of state got 0%.

That wasn't the hybrid function for the modulus graph was it?  My teacher was like 0.3% of students got that question right, which I thought was a slight exaggeration haha...
