Oh yeah you asked for my opinion, sorry I was trying to rush my replies last night I was meant to be watching a movie with my boyfriend - v. important I know.
Anyway, nothing will happen to you - they prefer that you don't use the tape but it's like using pencil in the exam instead of pen.
They will still count your answers and they won't take any marks off.

arent they scanning exams this year so, they wud be markin an electronic copy of your exam? so they wudnt be able to notice the whiteout much if this is the case.. . . .
