engineering! If you do engineering at monash you can start off with civil and chemical (which involve physics and chemistry respectively) and then decide on what you like better later on. It involves some maths but it isn't crazy on the maths.

Science, engineering or a combination of both.

i went to a careers expo and my favourite was monash uni. wen it comes to engineering is there a high demand (ie will i find a job staight out of uni), does it involve a fair amound of money, is it something i will still enjoy after 10 or 20 years, what do i do on a regular day at work?

Science, engineering or a combination of both.

Agreed.

Go for a double degree in Eng/Sci... you can always drop one of them if you decide you have a much stronger affinity for one over the other.

For science, any of the physical sciences: mathematics, statistics, chemistry, physics.
For engineering: mechanical, civil, electrical, computer/software, chemical.

You can pretty much do anything that isn't health science related straight off the bat at uni, or you can pick up biology and biomedical engineering subjects too.

Supposedly engineering is in high demand, a reason why there exist many scholarships for high achievers to study it at Monash. Pay is good as far as graduate pay goes, and it will be something you enjoy doing after 10 or 20 years if you enjoy it (which I can't say for you.).

sciencesciencescience.
If you're expecting that kind of ATAR, also check out Advanced Science at Monash.
Also, some people with your interests seem to like medicine. Although it's ubercompetitive and you have to sit the UMAT. Biomedicine at UoM could also be suitable.

Best thing to do is probably trawl through a copy of the VTAC guide (it can be last years as it doesn't change a lot and I don't think this years is out yet) and see if anything remotely interests you. If so, write it on a list. Ask lots of questions on Open Days.

Ive been asking similar questions to you, and with a Science degree, job prospects could be in further research. unfortunately you won't be looking at anything with a high pay. but if you enjoy it, then its enough for you to live comfortably and be happy wiht your job in many years time
