Yeah you do nothing in Psych pracs.
I am being srs. It was just QM and everyone already knows it from high school.
Our tutor always used to let us leave one hour in to the two hour prac.

That.  It never goes for the full 2 hours so I had it at the end of the day where I could go home early.  It didn't really cover or reinforce anything taught in the lectures and to be truly honest with you, it was pretty much useless.  the subject would still function exceptionally without the pracs/tutes/labs (whatever you want to call them as the psych department treats them as the same thing).  In fact it would probably be even better without of the labs - 2 hours off my total contact hours.  Can't complain about that.  :)

Shame attendance is recorded and is a hurdle requirement to attend at least 80% of them.

EDIT:  Edmund, you have a really awesome timetable.  It really sucks being a first year.

Assuming I don't go to 1 lecture on thursday I have a two day week, with tues thurs and fri off. Win

What are you doing for breadth this semester? Was it Corporate law?

I've got a two day week as well (skipping 2x1hour lectures)

Actually doing 2 breadth, corporate law and the second property subject even though I hated the first one, but it seems fairly easy and cbf looking for a new sub. How did you find corporate law (you did it last year right)?

And good stuff with that 2 day week haha could get used to this

Ah yes, same here 2 breadth (evidently we are both following the accounting + finance plan in the 2009 course planner lol). Corporate law was lol. It felt like a real law subject (complete with a 3.5 hour final exam) *slightly* dumbed down. The textbook looks daunting, and you have 'discussion groups' instead of tutorials. Ultimately, the course content is not that difficult. You get a choice for assessment, either 100% for final exam or 85% final exam with a 15% assignment. I did the assignment, just so it felt more like an accounting subject (ie. 70% exam). Overall, if you complete all the textbook questions (which you discuss in tutorials anyway), its hard to go wrong with the subject.

I'm doing Business Analytics (level 3 IT sub) and International Politics (arts subject).

Watch me get owned.

Ahh sweet cheers for that run down, I'll definately take the assignment too (although I'm sure a lot of people think this then cbf at the time).

Haha yeah pretty much following that study plan 100%, which is nice because the stability is good but it gets a little dull in that I don't get any choice in units apart from a few breadth subjects.

All I can say is good luck with your arts subject, you're more of a man that me for picking it haha. But really I'm sure you'll kill it anyway.

The reading is really easy though, hardly any cases to memorize (unlike PBL), can have any book in the exam.

^ wow Dominicz your timetable is intense, how many contact hours is that (can't be bothered counting aha)?
science looks better in terms of contact hours! or would the number of hours be the same if similar subjects are chosen (ex. in second year for science doing anatomy, biochem, physiology among other sciences compared with the compulsory subjects of biomed)
im guessing that biomed is a bit more work than science regardless of science subjects chosen?
