why tf would you do 6 when you have a 44 from last year?

because i don't really want to use that 44 as a top 4 subject... im going to do terrible in english, so i must compromise with doing well in everything else... i may end up using it but who knows..
and im doing 6 since there isn't anything i could really confidently drop..

edit; oh and it's a school rule that i have to do four subjects at school so the only subject i could drop was my uni subject, and i see no point in dropping it.. if this wasn't a school rule, i wouldn't have started off doing further.. but i don't really mind right now to be honest, cos i might do well:)

vexx, have you thought about accelerating two of your subjects last year? (I.e. doing 2 in Year 11)

i regret not doing two so badly. but unfortunately, at my school you aren't allowed to unless one is outside of school. i would have done further as my other, then only do 5 this year!

if you are considering doing two, definitely go for it XD

We've only got blocks for 5 subjects in year 12 but we're allowed an extra uni subject. However, they prefer you to do 4 VCE + 1 UMEP in year 12. But it's been done before.

Yes, I'm definitely doing two! Just that I don't know if I should do Maths + Chinese or Maths + Music hahaha. My school doesn't allow me to do 2 3/4 either, but I'm gonna make history and be the first person to do so :D
(I used to have a senior '09 who did 6 subjects (5 subs + UMEP) "illegally". She asked the co-ord to let her "try" the subject first to see if she liked it and after that she'll decide if she'll choose UMEP over it or vice versa. In the end she never stopped classes and managed to do 6 without official approval. :P)
Lol my school is actually "encouraging" me to accelerate 2 lol so I don't get 6 in year 12. I was going to accelerate 3 before, but now I realise that it might not be such a good idea...

do two subjects if you can...
it just helps so much if you get decent scores, because it just makes yr 12 just that bit more stress free knowing you've got one or maybe even two subjects as a safety net.

I got two 44's last year which both scale to 45, so in terms of my desired enter of ~98 im already halfway there. last year though i worked hard and probably did more work in terms of hours than this year. But as a consequence i now only need to work really hard on english, and prefereably get high 30's/low 40 raws for my 3 other subjects (physics, chem, methods)

most outside school subjects need approval from school.. i wasn't allowed to do english language at CAE because of this, luckily RMIT doesn't require it.

i would not have been bothered to be travelling to RMIT twice a week for 2 hrs though, missing out on many hours of class time each week. so a second subject was not an option..
