Where are people at.. in terms of work (chapters done)?

I was just wondering, at this point in time... where are most people at, in terms of work (i.e. chapter(s) done)... doesn't matter what textbook or anything as such.

- At my school... we've done Chapters 13 (Return of Stock), Chapter 14 (Stock Valuation), Chapter 15 (Accounting for Non-current Assets) and are half-way through Chapter 16 (Balance Day Adjustments - Revenues) of the Cambridge VCE textbook.

- Oh and my first Unit 4 SAC is on these 4 Chapters (above)... Week 4 of this term. :D fun, fun, fun... anyone done any SACs yet?...

Ye we're pretty much at the same point. We've finished BDAs for revenues though. First SAC at the end of week 3.

LOL. the only reason I'm up to Chapter 16 is that we've finished Chps. 14 + 15 in like 1 week and a bit... :\ I wouldn't necessarily say being so far ahead is a good thing, I reckon my teacher may have missed a few things... at least, going slower means the concepts become more clearer and you understand it better. [thorough.] :)

We haven't even started unit 4 :S lol

LOL... better get started then! :D

My class has nearly finished chapter 15 and already had the SAC for Chapter 13+14. But we've done more than the textbook, she gives us exercises from like COMPAK, exambuster questions and other worksheets as well. Chapter 15 and 16 SAC is in two weeks.

We haven't even started unit 4 :S lol

lol, what have you guys been doing?

Class just did a sac on chapters 13 and 14. I've gone ahead (up to budgeting).

Does anyone know if unit 4 sac marks are combined with unit 3 or are they seperate?
I think i screwed up the first sac for unit 4 even though my whole class thought it was incredibly easy.

Yeah it's part of GA2 (50% is from unit 3 and 50% is from unit 4) so they're both combined into one (out of 200)

LOL.

my first Unit 4 SAC is on 4 chapters which is in 2 weeks... soo much to revise... I'm just hoping my school [cohort] did/does really well in both exams... push up my SAC marks... cause my school's SACs are pretty hard. There is always one question that I don't know... :(

I just started chapter 15 (accounting for credit purchase of NCA) and you're already revising for 4 chapters!? thats insane !!
I think chapter 15 is a pain and i've only just had 30 minutes of class time for it :P

LOL.

We've raced through Chapters 15 and 16 pretty quickly... I found Chapter 15 alright, I get more confused on Chapter 16... Pre-paid & Accrued Revenue. Basically in class... my teacher briefly explains the new chapter and concepts that go with it (generally takes 10-15 mins)... then for the rest of the class... all we do is exercises... that's why were so far ahead. We're expected to do like a exercise or more a night... LOL.

We've done 4 Chapters in like 3~4 weeks... it's because my school has House Music... and we miss classes in the next few weeks due to rehearsals and stuff... so my teacher was like... we should get ahead so we don't fall behind in the coming weeks...

Generally my teacher wouldn't go this fast. I think going slower is better... like where you are (Chp. 15), you have more time to understand the concepts... we're just like... Ex. 15.7... next... and so on... so quick... :P

That's why I'm nervous for the SAC... we've raced through 4 chapters really quickly... which isn't always a good thing... :(

Managed to finish the textbook (Cambridge) and Checkpoints 2010. :D
Took a bit of effort, but I reckon it was worth it. Just a matter of retaining everything until the exam. Only hard part in UNIT 4 is remembering all the ratios in Chapters 18 and 19. Oh, and the period cost dilemma.
