LOL dude, there's plenty of under-repped schools ;)
I go to one too :)

me3
under rep school application for seas is honestly looked upon really lightly in vic as so many schools have it.
my school only gets a small favour at melb uni for under rep school .. other than that . its not really going to give you a MASS advantage ...

yay for us!
well its somehow the first time in years that my school....er.. "made the grade" to go on the list, so when they got all of us together and told us i was jumping up and down and just going nuts lol
and by crap school i mean there was a c+ average in the bio exam despite my A, in my class of 2 in physics i got a B (the teacher is useless) and the other guy got a D, and im no.1 rank in english in a year level that has 5+ people who came from overseas the year before.
in other words: crap. school.

how did yours get the under-rep status?

in my year level? i think its 28  :o
in the school? around 150, but we got a new principal this year who is, in a nutshell, a fanatical-religious-sexist prick. everyone in my year who has siblings in year 7, 8 ect are pulling them out. so currently numbers are at 150, but i honestly think it will drop to about 110-120 next year :S
its funny, i asked him to sign my statement of marks and he looks at me and says "....but what is it sweety?"  :uglystupid2:

Well we have 250 year 12's so size is definitely not the issue.
How much do you get off say for unimelb biomed, as much as 1 ATAR? I doubt it but it's worth a try

You apply for SEAS because you have been disadvantaged. SEAS rarely overcompensates. Celebrating being able to apply for SEAS is like being happy to get your victim of crime payout. Was it really worth being raped? (Yes I just made a comparison between going to a shit school and being raped)

Yes the comparison is shitty, but if you were raped would you prefer to be physically fine afterwards or be diagnosed with AIDS?

You can be happy that you're getting SEAS and still be upset about the cause of it...
