Yeah that's a bit slow. We've had a few weeks of AOS2. You can always study ahead though :)

i think our school plans to finish it in the next two weeks, AoS 2 is quite short actually, considering there is practically only three chapters (1 chapter repeats alot of stuff)

thats for nature of biology of cvourse im not sure about other books.

Yeah so does our school. And Heinemann is even shorter than NoB.

BTW, has anyone tried VCAA exams from the past study design? I have heard that unit four hasn't changed much so they are still quite relevant, is this correct?

Im going to do past papers from 2000 all to 2010. The course hasnt changed dramatically, but quite alot of it HAS changed. So just probably the VCAA, STAV, and NEAP ones from 2000-2005.

we've started AOS 2 this week, but I felt that AOS 1 was rushed, got to revise everything again...

so it may be a good thing to move a bit slowly :)

The biology course seems to go so slow compared to other subjects! If you think about it, there is so much content to get through. Shame that a lot of people think biology is about "rote-learning" (which it is definitely not) and shame that it isn't scaled higher :(

I believe the subject itself its actually quite hard, but since the cutoff is so low each year indicated by that "smart" people dont do biology the scaling on it is just +1. It also isnt a subject that is a prereq for very difficult courses such as med

Scaling isn't determined by the cutoffs. But yeah I agree that biology is difficult.
