@liv OH DAMN. HOW DID YOU MANAGE THAT. Please tell us how you studied, what you did each week, how you studied for oral exam, detailed study and written exam. LOL
Anyway, that is just freaking amazing!
@all I'm tony btw, it feels weird being called tondan --"
well, if you really want to know...
i actually lived in china for 4 years, but I really didn't learn that much chinese (suprisingly...and to my parent's dissappointment), just how to tell a taxi driver where to go etc, and i didn't learn proper chinese until i came back to australia and did vce chinese.
so i had chinese day school and i went to chinese weekend school (yay for being the only caucasian. some awkward moments when people thought i was in the wrong place...). at the beginning of the year, my teacher told me about this person who wrote 100 essays throughout the year, so i made that my goal. and i got there (however my friend this year has totally smashed that...she's done a lot more..). so, that was basically half of my written exam practice. then i just the whole translation booklet by dr ruilin yuan (my teacher's wife...). i also listened to chinese news podcasts to practice listening. and i was doing SL, but i did all the SLA practice exams too. i practiced my detail study almost every single waking hour, which was so weird because i had to ask myself questions and then answer myself because no one else at home could help me

but chinese school helped tons with practicing, because we had mini tutoring sessions where we all went off with a teacher to practice. and in my day school, there were only 3 people so that made practicing easier. umm. also, 2 weeks before my oral exam, my day school teacher told me that my brother would do better in chinese than me when he got to vce- i felt like i had just been stabbed. it was painful. so i just did chinese revision a heck of a lot (and forgot about methods) before exams to prove him wrong. i thought i'd get about 38, and i fell out of my chair when i got my study score. literally.
so tony, darkpheonix, liuy, simon and everyone else- if i can do it, of course you can do it! i'm excited for you all. jia you~
ps. on a random note, do you know how disgusting the beef mooncakes are?
