@AzureBlue, thanks mate! I started quite early, started thinking about my topic last year? And then I started to research and decide what topic i'd be doing.

@vea, LOL the oral isn't actually THAT hard, it's just hard to do good. (Assuming that we're all background speakers and speak Chinese fluently)

Imo, the orals are the most difficult (so much to memorise!) followed by the essays. Apart from that, everything else is fine. Nvm, I have another 2 years.

Haha well yes there is a lot to memorise, but once you commit it all to memory (shouldn't take too long) and then start to use your own words and language to express yourself, then it's quite easy. You just have to be prepared for ANY question that the examiners may ask.

I kinda regret to all those time that I could be speaking mandarin at home instead of Cantonese
and now i only got 2 more weeks left till I fluke my mando skills out

i wrote my general convo up like 4 months ago and remember my DS around 2 months ago.
occasionally, i still forget few bits and pieces ....
for general convo ...i don't actually remember word to word..
i remember few points and kind of predict the question they will ask, then improvise.
Also, had few mock oral exams..

Yeah same here, i dont remember mine exactly word for word.

Like when i answer the question, i pretty much just say what i remember and just add onto it. In other words drag it on so it seems like a longer response

Its just hard if they ask you a question in a weird way and you don't understand it LOL

I think i might just wing the general convo hahah, for the mock oral i just made stuff up as i went along. But got owned when they started asking me about whether a school having new buildings can lead to a good education.

true, but improvising can only be used if you have really good language skills. don' have problems with making sentences or other grammatcal errors, other factors such as being nervous in front of examiners can be a factor too. Which will lead to and result in hesitations and repetitions.

Hm yeah true, i probably have made some grammatical errors, but teachers understand what i mean anyway so dont say anything. xD
