are they?
"Don’t ever let somebody tell you you can’t do something, not even me.  Alright?  You got a dream, you gotta protect it.  People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it.  If you want something, go get it, period." - Chris Gardner

well yes. IF your working out was right but you made a small error, you'd still get partial marks.
+ if your answer was wrong for one question, but you used that answer in the next question in the right format, you would obtain some marks.

that's what youre getting at yea?

I doubt it. Maybe in Chem they do, but in Methods/Spesh consequentials marks are dubious - SACs are marked way more leniently than the actual exam.
2009
~ Methods (Non-CAS) [48 --> 49.4]

2010
~ Spesh [50 --> 51.6]
~ Physics [50 --> 50]
~ Chem [43 --> 46.5]
~ English [46 --> 46.2]
~ UMEP Maths [5.0]

2010 ATAR: 99.90
Aggregate 206.8

you kidding? our teacher marks so hard, she shouldn't even be allowed. e.g one questiong asked to find b and a, hence put a over b. found a and b ( b= 2, a=1) left it like that and recieved 0 marks out of a possible of three. mind you this was non-tech so i had the correct working out. fuck her

Last 2 questions for Exam 2. I worked out the wrong value for one question. Then for the next question I used that value with the correct working out and still lost the mark.

haha you cant beat a guy from our school that finished the paper about 80% and got 0 marks out of 59, despite having written something for almost every single answer.
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.

Perhaps an indicator showing you used a previous answer would grant consequential marks? Maybe examiners are lazy to pick out the wrong answer you dragged from previous question?

Exactly, no-one can be bothered rewarded consequentials

So I guess...according to kenhung's suggestion, now I'm going to have to draw circles around my answers and then draw arrows leading to the working out for the next question
