While it is true that you need A+ in the exam to get a 40 in most cases, if you get a really high A+ for your SAC components but only manage to get an A in the actual exam, you can still pull off a 40.

Still it depends on the strength of the cohort being if your the best in the cohort then you have to do better in the exam otherwise your SAC mark will be moderated

Yeah I'm just pointing out its quite a rare case, though I know of one person who got A+, A+, A and he managed to pull of a 41. He got the top SAC rank but there were others who got a better exam mark than him.

But generally in a moderate to weak cohort, the highest ranked person yields the highest exam mark, so thus if that person gets a low exam mark then you can assure that your SAC mark will be moderated down. Otherwise in a stronger cohort, you can probably drop a few marks and still get the same SS as someone who did better exam wise in a weak cohort

If you get A's for your SAC component and A+ for the exam, whats the maximum study score you can get?

Still dependent on cohort (given that the number of people ranked above you gets an exam score better then your SAC mark, then your SAC component will not be moderated down) but I would say the maximum would still be up there maybe even 45+ (if you ace that shit)

I hope so too, especially seeing there's an extra 5 marks this year, so A+ cutoff might be slightly lower which would help us.

You mean key information in the question? If that is the case, then I would say yes as you aren't writing your answers in red pen.
