Oh man, perhaps I'd better clarify some things, it seems I stood on a few toes in this thread!
By "SA Bonus points," I meant the bonus point programs run by South Australian universities (no need to bash SEAS, as it's not really relevant in my case) - I am a rural student in north west Victoria, and depending on course and institution, I could be eligible for up to 12 points, 6 at the least - essentially, straight 30s in my subjects (I don't think it's particulary "arrogant" to say that this is a conservative goal around here) has the potential to earn me what is, effectively, an ATAR in the mid 90s. Does that mean I deserve a place less than anyone else? Hardly.
I have a lot of respect for the dedicated VCE students on here who aim high and will no doubt do very well in their exams. Personally, however, I don't prioritise VCE in my life, or conventional education in any form for that matter - I'm of the belief that we're being prepared for exams, not life, but that's for another rant - and would rather enjoy being young than burn myself out - again, I'm not suggesting that's what the hard workers here are doing.
The reality is, not everyone's here to get into Med/Law/Space Monkey Breeding

TL;DR - I'm a slacker, don't hurt me.
