I thought overall, this year's mid-year exam was alright.

I agree, the first question was challenging and it took me quite a while to work it all out. I'd think that the difficulty of the end-of-year exam would be similar to the mid-year exam - since the Unit 4 exam was/is written at the same time as the Unit 3 exam to avoid any problems/issues - what I heard from a Accounting lecturer.
