40 after a high A mid-year?
« on: October 16, 2010, 09:31:39 pm »
So I'm ranked pretty high in a decent cohort and got an A mid-year.

Can I still get a 40? Say if the cutoff for A+ was 64/75, what would I need? thanks.

Defs man, have faith :D
just grab a mid-high A+ end of year and you'd be looking at 40+ for sure

^ yeah you really need two mid A+s for a ~45
so if you get high A, then a high A+ could be ~45,
so a mid A+ would be 42-43

A person got an A in his midyear examination then a high A+ in his end of year examination and ended up with a 45.

seriously doubt it, unless he was half a mark of an A+.
Say his A was very high = top 10%
and his sacs were top 1%
and his "high" A+ is top 1%

If you average that its still top 4%. 45 is top 2%. And since he got an A for his midyears I dont think his sacs can go any higher.

I would disagree.
I think it will be "mild" ... an average exam with a few hard questions ... like the 08 sample.
but it wont be DIFFICULT OMG FAILING.
it will be .. moderate . with tricks everywhere ... just gotta not make silly mistakes lol.

I hope it's a super-hard one. :)

There isn't really that much to short answer questions I have noticed. Its just the similar concepts twisted each time. Multi choice on the other hand can get really tricky.

I think its going to be a hard one because they need to seperate people from mid years. Exam cover says its only 8 questions so its not that long question-wise, but they could be many many sub-qusetions. I still think they are just going to make it challenging in terms of ability not speed
