Further or Legal Studies?
« on: October 19, 2010, 09:40:17 pm »
Hi im new to vce notes.. and I was wondering, if I wanted to maximise my anticipated score for any subject out of legal / further, which would be more of a wise decision to choose? Like I do visual comm, so i wanted to free up space.. and somebody recommended further. I do methods at the moment, but I'm half struggling to grasp concepts and im a B methods student.. which subject would be better to do, for a better score, without studying TOO much, as i need time for viscom. Is further dependant on methods success?

First consider if you need math for the future, entry requirements for university? Would you do both methods and further?

Then consider which you think you'll enjoy more. That's the option I'd go with.
The dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.

You'd best be off doing Legal studies if you're wanting to maximise your score, as it may go up as opposed to Further which goes down? :P

Legal Studies is unlikely to be scaled up, but also unlikely to be scaled down too much either(no more than 1 for a 35+ish, i think)
Further, if you pick wicked easy modules, can be a total breeze for a mathematically skilled student. (i recommend MATRICES and Networks for sure)

The main question is, which do you prefer as a subject?
The secondary question being, are you better at applying simple mathematical concepts to exam questions, or learning slabs of information to make considered and sustained written responses?

One of words, or one of numbers?
