I think you'd all struggle with a single 65 mark question...

Remember though, that however they structure the exam, there is no intention that it be too long to finish - don't fret, you shouldn't have a problem.
oh, really? how come?

lol kidding... that would be the worst and most longest question ever. They would have to encompass the whole of the years work into 1 question.. ONE!

Identify and Describe one significant change issue and explain how this would affect the management structure used, management styles used throughout various situations, what management skills would be useful during this change process, how it will affect the Operations and Human Resource Departments, evaluate two strategies from the operations and HR department, and whether or not they will assist with the change process, describe two key management roles that will assist the manager with the change process, compare and contrast two theories of motivation and discuss which one would suit the change process, evaluate the use of low risk tactics over high risk tactics and outline two key performance indicators that will help evaluate the process (65 Marks)

....It was worth a shot

- Obviously you would define each term in the 19 page essay that you would write for this question :P
- Technology is a part of the operations system
- Dangit! I knew I forgot something, stupid ESM!

2000 - 2004 had a study design with 7 questions INCLUDING a ten marker. I am willing to bet it will be very similar to that, if not the same. That means 2 case studies and one long answer.

Is that a good or bad thing in your opinion?

ahahhahah i got double confirmation from  two vcaa assessors/ lecturers, that you wont be marked on the use of real life examples in 2010, but it was recommended to do so. They said that they didn't have to be true either, because 90% of the markers wouldn't have a clue whether they are true or not. Thankgod :D

Yeah I knew that, who gets paid 4 dollars per paper and would willingly want to check if your facts are right (although it might get iffy up there i.e 45+ when they have to determine the better from the average)

I heard that they randomly select people to get 50's, if there are a high number of 100% with number 1 rankings. is this true?

I wouldn't expect a exam that is to hard, generally the first year of a new course has the least difficult exam, getting harder as the years go on.

I would expect there to be 7 questions though on the exam if thats what the cover says.
Samples are SAMPLES, and that is all. Usually they are the first drafts of questions that examiners write, the actual questions might be similar but the length can be anything. I.e.: in the Economics sample short answer questions for this years new course the marks add up about 110, economics short answer questions for the exam up to 60 marks. They just put plenty of questions for you to practice with.

Sorry mba, but this confuses me so much.

How can the first year have the most difficult exam with each one getting harder as the years go on?

Not only have you made your statement redundant but the first exam of a new SD is easier because they can't ask as many r@scal questions.

7 questions is likely - this new study design is similar to the 2000-2004 one as I said before.

Sorry I was meant to say the first year is usually the least difficult. I'll fix that up.
If the exam cover in the website says that there will be 7 questions then you can be 99% sure there will be 7 questions.

I did BM last year and got 44, wasn't to bad last year. I would hate having to do a 10 mark question though this year.

Good luck!

I thought so - just making sure.

Yeah '09 was a decent paper.

10 markers are good if you study. Majority of BMers around the state are dropkicks.

Is it possible to get 40+ if you get A's for your SAC component and an A+ for the exam?
