What is the longest body paragraph you can write?

...Seriously, I'm wondering if there are negative consequences to writing 550 word body paragraphs like I did today in one of my practice essays >.<. I seriously can't think of a way to split this one up into 2 because it all revolves one point.

550 words?! That's like half an essay. And wouldn't that go on for pages and pages???

I think you should cut it down or leave the less important stuff out. If you're like me and you want to show off ya knowledge, the sooner you get used to it (within the next 2 days!) the less painful it'll be.

mass mistake!

look at the body paragraphs for 2008's high scoring LBW essay

the lecturer who marked that told me that was bordering the max length of a paragraph.

shiiitttt 550 words? if ur gonna do that then the entire essay has to be 1500+ words so u dont end up with

LOL i just typed the whole thing up. 1470 words...far out no wonder I went 10 minutes overtime...I can't believe I actually wrote this whole thing in 70 minutes.

That's likely far too long - you want a balance between paragraphs, or else it looks like you're focusing too heavily on one point.

ask your teacher for VCAA english booklets. My teacher gave me like 20 photocpied ones and i used those so i can judge how much i write each time. usually 3 pages is around 1200 words and thus around half a page per paragraph
