okai analysis i think i did alright.

CONTEXT i did Catcher in the Rye
Identity and Belonging: It is difficult to fit in, when you are different (Prompt)
im not sure if i answered the question someone help me out:
I did creative piece.
Phoebe goes down stairs to get drinks, for Holden's progress into accepting adult hood
WHen she goes downstairs Holden is too anxious so he reads the letter he wrote to Dr Hyde aniwais
in the letter is says:
His difficulties in life
How the session with him and DR Hyde had changed him bit by bit
What he realizes in life

it ends of with phoebe going into the room she drops the drinks
and they hug, she cries... ( try to make it dramatic ) but the cries of joy
and i conclude by writing, Their smiles grew simultaneously as they both know that Holden was nearly there, nearly accepting adulthood.

in Look Both ways i chose the 1st prompt.
i wrote about
i rushed this, very shaky.
Meryl and Nick how they learnt that they needed each other
Phil, learnt that his family is first
Andy, learn to take responsibility

What'd you guys think?

LOL I'm doing CITR at Year 10...this is a Year 12 text?

classic texts (e.g. 1984, CITR, The Great Gatsby) can usually be studied between year 9 and VCE, just the older you are, the more advanced analysis you can get from them

Your essay for context sounds very very similar to one in the examiner's report a few years back... =/

I did something on holden where he gets out of the hospital and goes to some new school and doesn't like it/fit in there either so he goes back. The psychoanalysts tell him that he doesn't belong anywhere because he is different, that he needs to change etc. In the end he finds a school that he likes and although he is different he gets accepted and ends up happily ever after blah blah blah. So i kind of said something like although it is difficult to belong when you're different, ultimately you're only happen when you can be yourself. Don't think that answers the prompt, but meh.. examiners should enjoy the story lol

For LBW I did the first prompt, talked about
-meryl, how she changes and accepts fate because of nick or something
-phil, family..
-andy, 'things just happen'
-nick, rebutted that you can learn about yourself through your own mortality, not just others.

You know, there's no point worrying about it now! What's done is done and dwelling on it will only impact negatively on your next exams :) Try not to stress! <3

I third lynt.br's notion... this creative piece sounds so familiar!

Surely you've read the assessment reports before? :)

Bad idea to be copying and pasting ideas from their sample essays.. they will recognise an unoriginal piece easily.... those samples have been chosen out of 120,000 essays! 10 essays out of 120,000.

But can I ask you what school you go to? I studied the same texts! :D
