I did and am actually f*****! Cause i wrote on the first prompt "How does Anna's world view change throughout the course of the novel", and i kinda wrote WHAT caused her to change her world view instead of HOW she changed it! AHH! my essay was only 3 paragraphs too cause i left it till last. Any way i said in one of the paragraphs "Anna changed her world view because of her spirituality", do you think this is gonna make me majorly fail??  :(

I did YOW-number two though...

Q's one was hard, if i did that i could only speak about one thing :P ( How her view changes?)

don't think it will matter much, you did address the topic somewhat-hopefully will be ok.
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Yeah i guess question one showed a narrow knowledge of the text cause your focussing on one character and it was pretty hard to break the prompt down. Im pretty sure my content was completely convoluted though!

I didnt even read the second prompt, what was it? Did you end up writing heaps?

It had a quote, where MM warned the villagers or fear..then the q's asked how does fear affect the lives of the villagers?

I found it that you can go into depth, which i had, because of the so many examples. hopefully our examiner won't be too hard, because really, i didn't see that you can really go into depth with the q's they asked...i mean, what more could you have said?

Yeah i know, i couldnt elaborate very well on Anna's question, i mean a question about change would have been better, not one about world view changing, its hard to think where in the novel Anna has a world view of things.
The examiners should choose more broad questions, its like they choose the hardest questions that stuff with your brain :(

I screwed that one up...did the first one.
First para: how her faith changes in comparison to the other character's beliefs
second para: how she overcomes her 3 fears which essentially helped her to move beyond the boundaries of Eyam and her role as a woman.....(wrote like a whole chunk then realised my time ran out = =)
and then I rushed the conclusion in 5 min and realised that I didn't include as much "how" Geraldine Brooks uses literary tech to convey the meaning = =*tears*

It sounds good what you were writing though, like all i wrote about in my 3 paragraphs was how she changed her world view because of her spirituality, emotions and mentality. It was so basic, but i had no time left so i just rushed. I didnt really understand the question so didnt respond directly to the prompt :(

I actually HATE Year of Wonders now!! I'm gonna burn mine and dance around the fire like Aphra, haha!

Yeah I did YoW.

Both essay topics were pretty narrow, I think it will mostly come down to how well you wrote it, rather than what you wrote.

Yeah I did YOW,

I spoke about

-her view changed from  spiritual to a more natural scientifical nature.
- I talked about her view on a hierarchal society changed
( both as a servant girl and as a woman)
- her view of the people within her world changed as well ( ranted on about Michael Mompellion) and Elizabeth Bradford

I had something else but I forgot sorry :)
Yaaah B*tch Yaaah!
