Any thoughts of the fisherman question?
I think that was the worst....

i wrote comparing the fins cox gene to the known species cox gene or something and that humans can use it to find out what if fish species are related :S

I wrote something like using DNA sequencing HAHA. *facepalm*

that's what I wrote.  :)

I don't think it was stupid.  How else are you meant to compare genes?
I thought it was a pretty clear cut answer, it kind of guided you there

Yeah, you have to sequence it.  Because the code is redundant, it is the only way to know for sure...

yeah, but it was great if you did know them!!

Haha yeah it was roughly 10% of the exam too... which is a lot considering even one mark can put you infront/behind a hell of a lot of people

And then another 8 marks on speciation and natural selection.

That is 20% of the paper rote learned and regurgitated.

I think A+ cutoff will be quite high, possibly 130/150

true..
I actually was rather disappointed there was not many questions about hominin/hominids.
and I really wish that I had studied chromosomal mutations more thoroughly before...

I was happy.  Evolution is interesting but the way we study it is a wank...

Aced the transcription, translation, speciation, natural selection. But I have gone over some of the questions in my head and realised I have made some pretty stupid mistakes arghhh wish I could rewind!

Yeah, my friend complained about that. And about a "fish" question.

Shinny and mavisgibbons are both busy with exams but I have 2 weeks of swotvac before my microbiology exam so...if somebody posts an exam paper i'll do it.
