1 week and 5 days left ZOMG!

what are you guys doing?

Is every1 just going over notes, doing responses?

Right now im out of practice exams to do :o so id really like to know any ways to "advance" in the coming days...

Im in Yr 11 so ive spent this whole yr on revs, whilst still getting above average results for 1/2's...

The yr 12s in my revs class are literally stoned :2funny:....they do F***K all!!...the 4 yr 11's are on top...

ANYWAYS....ye so i just want some further advice onto what to do extra to boost my result....this is my first 3/4 exam and i feel like i know everything for china and france :smitten: (i know u yr12's think im a yr11 gimp :'()

thanks

I am perfecting my responses to leaders in my first revolution, as well as some events for America.
As well as memorising some key quotes from leading historians, and just making sure I have some really nice complex ideas for different areas of study.

Also,
I am practising some for Russia, but not many, but doing lots of extended responses on Russia, and including the key information and memorising quotes for AOS2.

I'm also doing lots of RILME charts and flow charts.
Practise is the key for revs, and I get plenty marked by the teacher.

Also practise short pieces like how did......contribute to a rev event, I just chuck in an event, idea or leader, write it up in about 13 minutes and email it to my teacher. really good revision.

my teacher can't use his email, no way to get him to mark my work. a contributing factor in my lack of motivation to do a history practice exam. that and I don't want to sit still for an hour and 45 minutes

Break it up is my biggest advice, give yourself 27 minutes to write an extended response, 12 to write a 4 point essay, 20 minutes to finish a document analysis section, thats what I found helped the most when I coudn't sit for ages.

I also love jumping on marxism.com and reading some great essays, or reading other students work (high scoring students) to get some really good indications of where they are at.

I also go see my teacher once a week since my swotvac started (over 3 weeks ago), to give exams and just chat about weaknesses and some good ideas.

hehe...yeah

i can only imagine how little time you guys have for revs

     |_      .\( \\                                      |__ :buck2: :buck2: :buck2: :buck2:__|
    .'  `-._/__`_//
  .'       |""""'
 /        /

`-._____.-'

BTW..thats a great idea claire...i guess having more time for the essay would help, i have trouble leaving an extra few mins to edit the essay

if you want to boost your mark, read as many outside sources as you can, and get as many quotes that you can remember to back up your ideas.

in terms of time, I spend 10 minutes on each of the 10 mark questions, as little time as possible on the document analysis 2 - 4 mark questions and then spend the remainder on the essay. I usually finish (assuming i've had reading time) with about 10 - 15 minutes left. but being practice I never look over my essays.

yeh ofcourse...

its just weird that the: essay (20 marks)= doc. analysis (20 marks) 1= doc. analysis (20 marks)= 2 x 10 markers (20 marks)....

doc. analysis question d), i've heard, is really the key part which sets apart
