hey guys i totally get reasoning for why its a-x/2 not a-2 ....but why is it negative k out the front ?
isn't dx/dt positive, as X is being produced?
there must be something i'm missing?

it's coz the 'velocity' of the reaction is slowing down as the unused amounts of A and B are decreasing :)
