u know, im not actually writing, i dont have a pen in my hand, and i dont think u payed attention to what it says, "A student must not begin to write or mark his or her paper or response material in
any way, or use a calculator, until advised by a supervisor that writing may
commence." --

i havent written anything, ive scratched the response paper which is mine, without using a pen or a calculator, Please tell me were the wrong is? ...

and its not cheating... I call it, "using your time wisely" lol nah seriously theirs nothing wrong with it, just dnt sit at the front near the examiner and do it, he/she will get suspicious of u finding a rule around the system

You aren't a hero for marking your paper mate. You still managed to drop 5 marks. Maybe you shouldve used your reading time efffectively to go through the entire paper.

A guy in my school 2 years ago was actually caught marking his paper with fingernails apparently. He had to go to this hearing in vcaa headquarters with a solicitor and the VCE coordinator.

His grade was finally dropped 3 grades, Eg A-> C+.

Even though I'm telling you to do anything, and I wouldn't care much, it isn't allowed and some strict examiners might just decide to be grumpy that day. No-one should be in the shoes of that guy who got penalized just because he was trying to gain a slight advantage, we all worked too hard for this, don't risk ANYTHING.

I'm not kidding about the hearing and stuff, it's a fact.

sort of unrelated, but after i got out of my exam i heard that people at my school were using their calculators during reading time. and our vce coordinator asked the vcaa supervisor if it was allowed and she was like "umm i think so."
=/ bit crap... i was gonna crack it coz i didn't know.
but everyone that i heard of in that part of the room that did it (not many) were all fairly weak students anyway i think. so i doubt it'd give too much of an advantage... still. pretty shit

You want your class to do as well as possible on the exam anyway

Some kids in my class were using their calculators also. The supervisors were aware, they said nothing.

and then moving on, their was Graphs and Realtions, and a diagram asking for the value of b, from a house.. I guessed a random answer, ...

At first, I used a ruler and found what 1m was equal to in terms of a rule (kind of like scale factor lolz), then measured the line and found b equaled around 4.3.. so I guessed 4.5, B.
Then going back over it, I realised I could sub in to the equations, did that and got 4.5 aswell.

+1 for realistic scale!
