Call me crazy but I enjoyed Spec as a subject. It was far more interesting than some of the other subjects I was doing and I had a great teacher this year. Studying for the exams and sacs is something that I won't miss, but the subject itself was enjoyable for me.
Specialist [41], Methods [42], English [44], Chemistry [45], Physics [46], IT Applications [47], Further [48]
2010 ATAR: 99.45, congrats to the VCENotes class of 2010 :)
2011: Commerce/Engineering@Monash. Keen to tutor VCE students next year in any of the above subjects except English and IT, feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions relating to those subjects, probably won't be on this site often now, but PMs go to my email.

Same here, Specs is the only subject that make me feel that when I go to school, I actually learn something new.

Instantly felt sad that I'll never do any of that interesting maths again :/ unless Uni brings it :)

Sigh uni maths is retarded....The gap between uni maths and spesh is way bigger than the gap between methods and spesh

Once you do (Monash) uni maths you realise that the calculus in spec is TINY compared to what's out there.

While I have learned stuff in Spesh, personally, I learned close to nothing at school, most I picked up on a few reads of the text.

One thing I am VERY happy about is that now for me VCE maths is over, and I am no longer restricted by the dodginess therein. Now I can concentrate on REAL maths . .

Insanely happy and energised but will definately miss the subject. Don't wont to dramatise but its like a long, interesting, boring, hard and self inflicted journey has come to an end.

I will miss the certain ingenuity required of some spesh questions; but Ima see if I can get extra maths electives next year.

Is Unimaths the same as engineering first year maths?

I think it's all covered in the first semester. Have to get Mao/Enwiabe or someone else to confirm though.
