How much a subject scales depends on the raw score that you are awarded. Check the VCAA scaling report:

http://www.vtac.edu.au/pdf/scaling_report.pdf

And look at the raw score you're aiming for and then you can see what it scales to (although it's only given to the nearest whole number, where the actual scaling is to two decimal places). :)

DON'T CHOOSE SUBJECTS BASED ON SCALING.

That is stupid; in the end your scaled score is likely to be higher in the one you like better anyway.

But, when choosing subjects your potential score shouldn't even cross your mind - rather, choose subjects you enjoy and subjects that you will learn from(except English, you have no choice about that).

Physics only slightly more. But I second m@tty, don't just choose subjects because of scaling - you've got to like them too.
