5.5 in a uni subject isnt better than taking another subject with the hopes of getting a 50

eg. I had the choice to do uni maths, but i declined and got a 50 in further instead
this carried my atar like crazy, and a 5.5 in uni math would have resulted in a lower atar

In that case it seems beneficial, but what it looks like werdna was planning to do was do a much harder subject as a bottom two, while he would have been much better off doing a uni subject which required much less effort
sometimes I feel as if I'd be more enriched in life if I bought an RV and started cooking meth

Thanks for all the replies everyone, but I've finalised my subjects - see my signature. I did consider doing a uni subject, but given my 3&4 scores, the chances of getting in would have been slim. I'll be doing all subjects at home school.. And I'm doing subjects I actually enjoy. I would be in a whole load of trouble if I picked chemistry, spec or physics.
