Mid Year Assessment Report

Vcaa released their Mid Year Assessment report, and my view on it affecting this exam is,

- More Theory Questions.
- Tricks in the question that requires reading properly.
- GST Clearing accounts.
- Less General Journal/Ledger
- Cash Flow Statement

- Maybe a little longer as most students finished.

Just my Thoughts.

That's interesting... although the both exams are written in march or earlier, so they won't have known what happened in June. I agree with the GST however.

2009-2010: VET Multimedia | Methods CAS | English | Legal Sudies | National Politics | Accounting | VET IT

2011-2013: BBIS at Monash - IBL Stream

Semester 1: Principles of Accounting & Finance | Computer Programming | Business Information Analysis | Intro. to Business Information Systems

In my view, this year's exam will probably reflect the same difficulty as the VCAA 08' exam - if not harder. Also in the past, VCAA have done a trade-in on disposal of asset, I'd think that change - to the business sold the asset for cash (Bank).

Yeah, I heard from a lecturer that both exams are written about the same time. I'd also agree with the GST Clearing account, though I'd doubt it would be hard, they would put in Sales + Purchases Returns, GST settlement etc to confuse students as such.

I'm also expecting the theory questions to be harder. In previous years, the theory questions have been repetitive and limited. This exam was written around the same time as the Unit 3 exam, I'm expecting the cut-off for A+ to be around high 70's.

what was cut off last year? I'm hoping theory is repetitive and limited again this year coz that's the only thing I'm decent at. :)

Seconded. Last year's exam was easy compared to previous years - the trend would suggest that tomorrow's exam will be hard(er) than at least last year's.
