finished with half an hour to spare, yet even with all that time could not figure out the last question in trig.
any bet it was something simple that i just couldn't think of, left me pissed off as hell.
2010: Chem, Lit, Bio, Psych and Further.

last 2 questions of graphs and relations were very very hard

i found it over all easy this exam.
one question with negative number in matrices stumped me but other than that i found it easy.

last question on trig was using
similar triangles... i hope...

you calculate the scale factor of the base apply it to the height
plus 4.5m  i got 7.75m..... omg hope im right

Was this the flying fox question.

They were similar shapes, you just had to use the scale factor.

e.g. 1A/1B = 2A/2B

I got 324/64. Which is like 5.078.  I left it as a fraction cos they didn't tell us to round off :S

2010: chem 47, further 48, Spesh 49 fml seriously and other yr 11 subs.

really? because i thought you can only have similar shapes for (circles, triangles or squares)
there was a same type of question in Cambridge textbk n you had to use the triangles
to get the answer...

but if youre right that means im wrong... :$

u could have found the angle and using the angle and 65 metres u find the height then add it to 4.5 m

i used the slope ie. 8/160=0.05
then i subbed this into the equation slope=rise/run to get 0.05=rise/95
using this i got the rise as 4.75, and did 12.5-4.75 to get the height PH.. is this right?

I used the same method as you zoffle, i assume they have to mark it correct, if we got the correct answer.
