what did people write for the forgetting curve one? i couldn't articulate it properly =/
and the decay MC?
aaaand for disadvantage of retrieval failure?

Decay one i said the "amnesiacs" answer.
Forgetting curve i said that the shape will always be the same regardless of the info because its always a rapid loss followed by a slow decline. Then i crossed it out and thought id come back to it later ... realized i forgot to write about it later fml.

and the Retrieval failure.
Well .. i said
people can go to the scene of the crime and NOT remember the info ...
then come home and they remember the info.

Not good.
pretty dissapointed.

Walked out realized i stuffed up few multi choice.
Then realized I forgot to change 2 of the multi's i was planning to change later.

Thats 5 marks gone already.

Then i stuffed up the "forgetting curve "question.
Then stuffed up research methods question
then stuffed some other questions
- 13 marks
= A not A+
= 39-42 study score.

FML
wat a load of bs
im blaming the sickness.
don't worry, I walked put thinking I didnt do that well and after talking about my answers I realized I didnt do that badly at all. Im sure youll be the same. try not to stress

Nah im not "the same".
Im pretty pissed off to be honest.
Could not focus on any questions properly.
And missed so many questions i shouldn't have.
After so many prac exams and study
pretty annoyed.

Eff it .. gotta go study for methods/chem now.

I wrote for the retrieval failure something about the semantic network theory and how related info should be retrieved a swell or somthing. Maybe I got it right. It wasnt something I studied

Thats pretty good.

retrieval failure, i said that even though we may exhaust all possible, appropriate and accurate cues to assist the retrieval of information from long-term memory, we still may be unable to retrieve certain information, at any point in time.

just spoke to my teacher(marks psych exams every year) and she said that would get the mark <3

is it as simple as we may have the retrieval cue, but just fail to retrieve it at the present time?

Promise me you won't stress yourselves out. When I did Psych last year, I literally had sleepless nights after the exam thinking of the marks I dropped - how stupid is that! But look at my score: it's FINE to drop marks, it won't destroy your hopes. I dropped marks on both exams! ;D

Hmm, i guess that answer proposes that retrieval of memory is time-based, rather than cue-based. Cannot say whether it'd get you the mark.

can't see why not.

i rote something about how retrieval failure you cant really tell if its due to that or another means of forgetting, cos you can only check if it after the relevant cue is used to retrieve it. something like that i think i totaly misread the question now LOL
