Sustainability is the ability or potential of the organization to be independent from macro or operating environment factors of change.

But this could mean another way if taken from another context.

Examples

Sustainability in terms of being Environment-friendly - the organization has sustainable practices that help conserve and protect the environment by reduced amount of wastes from production and manufacturing, thus being sustainable in its practices and activities.

Sustainability in terms of influence from global economy - the organization might be affected by the recent AUS$ inflation and increased stock exchange value, but they remain to be a strong contender in the competitive market.
