That's a bit harsh...awesome2damax may just have high expectations and standards, can't really label as arrogant :S

I was really happy, hoping for 80, we'll see - but ouch that was definitely the toughest VCAA exam yet

You're supposed to use markov chains for those. I am not sure if matrices would yield the same answer though.

Pr (third regular) = Pr (RR) + Pr (SR)
                        = 0.1 x 0.3 + 0.9 x 0.1
                        = 0.12

Actually, there is a good chance of 44 with those scores. I got 42 losing 10.5 last year and this years exam was much harder.
