Use the single arrow.

Examples of single arrow from VCAA assessment reports:

2009 7a   2H2O(l) → O2(g) + 4H+(aq) + 4e-
2008 7aii   Cd(s) → Cd2+(aq) + 2e-*

Hehe...

So much for Thread closed, huh?

I've got another question relating to equilibrium arrow:

Will it matter if we flip it? as in the arrow pointing backwards is on the top and the arrow pointing forward on the bottom.
Cause I realised that for the past 2 terms, I have been doing that. =/

Also - Combustion reactions, single or equilibrium arrow?

I don't really understand your first question.
For combustion, as CO2 is continuously released, the reaction goes to completion. So a single arrow.

hmm...
Draw an equilibrium arrow.
Do a reflection on the x-axis? XD

Is that reflected arrow still an acceptable equilibrium arrow? =/

It's not technically wrong, but the convention is to draw the forward arrow on top. I would suggest that you do it the normal way, you never know what VCAA will take marks off for. :)
