go into osteopathy.. as it requires chem. my question is that is it possible for me
to do UMAT this yr to get into a uni in 2010? or do i have to sit the UMAT in 2009
in response to go to uni in 2010?? ALSO!! anyone who has done the UMAT plz guide
me how to get gud marks i know you cannot prepare for it but what are the general
type of things do they ask??

You can sit the UMAT this year, yes, but i'm not sure how long the results are valid for, i think it may be 3 years. You could sit the UMAT in both 08' and 09' and use the number of the better result when applying to university. Are you sure that the science certificate course is adequate to satisy the course pre-requisite. As for general umat advice, seek more specialist knowledge on medstudentsonline.com.au . You'll get more specific and experienced advice there. Nothing will prepare you well for the UMAT, but visiting the ACER website should allow you to see a couple of practice questions and allow you to but practice booklets which are quite helpful.

EDIT: Where do you want to do Osteopathy? At VU and RMIT, no UMAT is required. Note: for these degrees you will need to do masters to become registered as an Osteopath

Yes, you may be a non-standard applicant to university. It's best to ring the individual universities to see what their policies are. As a non-standard applicant you might not be able to apply to certian undergraduate courses
