I also believe mark kelly is wrong.

Those are not all primary keys. Music teacher ID in table 3 is not a primary key.

I selected  B) "common fields in different tables."

I concur with you guys. Those fields are ideal to be selected as primary keys, but the fact remains the developer left them as ordinary fields. We know this because there's no key symbol.

They're not all ideal to be primary keys. The music teachers can teach at more than one school, meaning that it can't be a primary key for that table. Besides, the musicteacherID would be a poor unique identifier for the school.

I can definitely see the logic in that, and I reckon that Mark Kelly (and myself as I picked A on the exam) is wrong.  We'll just have to wait for the examiners report to come out i suppose.  Damnit! lol

My IT teacher has just taken our side! =) And he's an exam marker (although he hasn't received the official answers yet.)

Do you know your teacher's opinion on the CCTV/keyboard swipe/anti virus question?

Mine was marking the short answers for Apps and said it would be CCTV because the rest will not -detect- unauthorised access.

Wasn't the question to prevent? I don't remember. But considering we're meant to know all about networks - CCTV is a pretty dumb answer.

He says encryption software, but I don't think he considered it asked for 'equipment' and not software. I'm going to ask him when I next see him.

Wasn't the question to prevent? I don't remember. But considering we're meant to know all about networks - CCTV is a pretty dumb answer.

The question was:
Quote
The best equipment to detect unauthorised access to a password-protected file would be
A.      keyboard swipe.
B.      encryption software.
C.      closed circuit television.
D.      virus protection software.

To be honest I'm not that happy with how the question was worded.  There's no debate about the interpretation of the word 'detect', but what about the word 'best'.  You could either interpret the word 'best' in this context as 'best solution possible' or 'best in the list'.  I suppose you could argue that it was really inferring the latter because it was a multiple choice question, but i'm not so sure that's the right way to go about it...
