I remember last year my teacher drummed into us that you NEED to refer to market share as a "percentage" otherwise you could get zero for your definition. She's been an assessor for like 14 years, and is the author of a couple of the textbooks, so she's definitely legit haha. So don't forget it guys! Good luck for friday everyone. I'm sure you'll all ace it.

Market Share is defined as the percentage of sales one firm has compared with the industry.

I was under the impression it was about customers. no customers / Total as a %
Its actually sales/total sales revenue (in the industry). So it means how much of the sales the business received as compared to the whole industry. (i.e. In 2005 Maccas has 7.7% of the food industry which earns 331b a year, meaning that Maccas will have earned 25b in sales)

Haha I think she's the best :) The only downside to her is that she doesn't mark things quickly... I think she just doesn't like roseys. Maybe that's why she's been a bit less nice to you or something? haha.
