There many different programs that can be found on the net to aid with calculations. Can someone please recommend a few that are worth downloading.

Thanks

squad - really quick program for solving quadratic equations
factor9 - useful for a bunch of different polynomials

Also, find the applications PrettyPt and Symbolic, add them and install Symbolic, since you can then install the program deriv that will take the derivative of most functions you can throw at it (within reason.)

Why not just learn how to do the questions properly?
You do realise you are only cheating yourself?
What if you are in the non-calc exam ... OSHI-

yeah, but for exam 2 you can use the calc. For multi-choice you can srsly speed up if you had a program to calculate it for you, leaving you more time for the more important analysis questions.

the programs are in no way a substitute for learning the info- my reasons are basically as stated by applexy, for the second meth exam for the m/c section.

it is well enough knowing all the concepts to help you with exam 1, but I certainly do suggest you to know your calculator intimately [lol] for exam 2. as is the case of last year, those who did everything by hand were invariably tight with time.

also, it is a great tool to help check your answers that were hand-derived, and the calculators never lie :P
