laa... it was tricky, last years exam was easier... i reckon 85% will be the a plus cut off, it should be lower than than the midyears, the A+ cut off was 89%

No way, much less.
That's 90% and given that the Mid-year being stupendously much more easier; I'd expect the A+ cut off mark to be less.

That exam was about on par with the mid year...

Maybe a tiny bit harder.  I'll revise it to 72-73/82

Really? =/
I guess we are entitled to our opinions but I thought the mid-year was real easy as opposed to any other exam we've done this year..
I was rather surprised that the cut-off was still <90 haha, but I guess you can't argue with the numbers :)

Let's just hope everyone here on VN get above 40 :D

I completely missed that lactic acid had a ka value in the data booklet and was wondering why I couldnt do that equilibrium question. 6 easy marks down the drain.

Everyone says it was easy with a few surprise tricks. I think the fact that I didn't see any tricks just shows that I fell for all of them :P
It was alright. I was failing my practice exams anyway so it was a nice surprise when I finished on time

There were a couple of tricks, and many explanations which will cause loss of marks all round for the majority of the state. But I don't believe the content was conceptually challenging as such, hence there will be plenty of people bulked up in the 60-70 range, which will push up the A+ prediction.

I would say approximately 1 or 2 marks lower than midyears taking into account that this is a late exam (timetable wise), and was reasonably lengthy. So 73/82 for an A+ ? I think that is fair and reasonable :)
