Hey Russ,

If I did do a biomed degree. And, heaven forbid, didn't get into grad med. Would I somehow be able to study engineering?

Engineering after/during Biomed is very (very) heavily slanted towards biomedical engineering. Granted that's a fascinating field, but if it's not your thing then you'd need to do graduate study. And I don't know much about graduate entry engineering.

But at UoM, with their Melbourne Model, you can do M.Eng or something similar after biomed

Biomed/eng, sci/eng if enter sux balls :P
and theres no such thing as biomed/pharmeng? that would be a triple degree if it did exist biomed/eng/pharmsci *drools*

What can you really become after doing the bachelor of biomedicine? I read a thread here a while ago which mentioned that your career pathways are restricted when you pick Bachelor of biomedicine.

Not so much restricted, but slanted?

It's exactly the same as if you'd graduated from a BSc and majored in biochemistry/immunology/etc.

So with just your undergraduate degree, lab work or an office job requiring your skills (a scientific liaison for example).

Basically, without further study there aren't a lot of truly great jobs :P
