me neither, i didn't mind it. i think i went okay but don't want to say i did excellently or anything in case i jinx myself. i got stumped over the kanji for 'bank' in the convenience store reading part and so randomly guessed it as 'atm services'... i hope it's still correct. but it wasn't bad.

That's good (Y) I didn't do too well on my essay and second reading part (Respond in Jap) was a bit hard for me, but I'm not an amazing student, and I DID go into the exam intending to fail. I will be quite happy with whatever I get. :D

Was it your last?

Loved the listening and reading this year but seriously how hard was the last reading and replying in Japanese? I seriously had NO IDEA.
Essay was alright, i chose the celebrations one what did everyone else choose?
Would you know how many marks I can drop in the exam and still get an A+, I'm really worried about that last part.

No idea actually, sorry! I do think it was easier than last year's paper, which could kill bonus points AND raise the A+ bar :| Yea that last part was bodged by me. ESPECIALLY THAT LAST QUESTION. How did they expect us to reword it that last line of the piece?! It was dodgy..

Haha that was the only part I could do since I genuinely had no idea what the first two answers were, I'm really nervous to find out what I got.
Does anyone know the answer for the first 2?

I copy and pasted from the text anything that looked relevant. Man I screwed that up :S Also dislike that they only tell you the amount of marks in the part 2 reading COLLECTIVELY, rather than mark allocation per question. :| They are dumb.

Hahaha I so agree. Our CD didn't work correctly for the last listening task and randomly started repeating the second part of the text screwing everyone up. And the woman was like you can hear only the first part but you're not allowed to answer anything but the first question - seriously effed. It was so badly organised.
Oh well, it's over and I thought the listening was pretty good!
What did people write for the last question on reading and responding in Jap?

I was so stupid
This is obviously wrong

I changed the DEWANAKUTE grammar rule in the last sentence into DEWANAI NO NI, and that's it.

I know it's wrong :/ OH well. I don't want/need an incredibly awesome mark for Jap. Whatever happens, happens.

I thought the first three parts were slightly easier than usual, and then the reading and responding in Japanese was a lot more difficult than usual...  Also I didn't like the essay topics.  =/

I second the notion. The essay topics were not fun. I had to refer far too many times to my dictionary for vocab that I needed. I think I also failed at explaining myself. :(

That's hilarious, the examiner said block your ears as if you'd do that.
Our examiner couldn't work the cd so we got an extra 4 lol minutes, it really was badly coordinated.
I wrote that the author thinks that choosing a university for yourself? I copied that line out is better than choosing a famous university, thinking back he said he wanted it.... Whoops

Haha wish we got 4 minutes, damn VCAA, I sent them an angry e-mail. Essay topics were weird as but did the inspirational person one. Gahhh would have done so much better if the CD didn't stuff up, but reading in Jap was a tad wtfish
