Chinese Exam - Dictionaries

I'm confused about how many dictionaries we are allowed to bring into the CSL written exam.

On the front of the 2009 exam it says 'any printed monolingual or bilingual dictionary in one or two separate volumes.'

Does this mean we can bring 2 dictionaries in, say one 'english-chinese chinese-english', and another 'chinese-english'?

Or does the english-chinese chinese-english count as two dictionaries?

2010: Chinese (SL)
2011: Accounting (35+) | Chemistry (30+) | English Language (30+) | Further Mathematics (35+) | Mathematical Methods (25+!!!!!) |
ATAR Goal: 75+

I think you can bring 2 dictionaries in, regardless.
But why would you bring an 'english-chinese chinese-english' as well as another 'chinese-english'
2010: Chinese SL (36 ---> 45.6), Accounting (48 ---> 48.4)
2011: English (47), Methods (50), Spesh (43 ----> 52.7), Chemistry (48 ----> 49.3), Physics (38)
ATAR: 99.90
2011 UMAT:
S1:[105] S2:[45] S3:[90] Overall:[80] Percentile: 100th

Need chem/methods tutoring?
I'm offering it based predominantly in the south-eastern suburbs (Caulfield-ish) - PM me.

I hear they're no use anyway.
But I would think definitely not 3 dictionaries

Yeah, they're not much use, unless you know the chengyu in your head, but you've forgotten how to write it!

Well if you know the chengyu then you should know how to write it or at least what it looks like o_o.. then you can just check it up in your other dictionaries and voila :)

Because my 'english-chinese chinese english' dictionary is not very good with translating certain chinese terms into english. But having both will be really good because I can look up words faster in the chinese-english, and i will use the 'english-chinese chinese english' to look up words for the essay!

Thanks!
