I've got one too, seriously good end to my schoolies vacation. A nice phone call from JCU whilst on the beach at Lorne kicking the footy with some mates, I'd all but given up hope.

Mines on the 8th of December, after my Monash Physio interview on Tuesday.

Best of luck guys!

yeh. you basically do a written application + predicted atar. then they give you an interview if those are good. then its weighted 50% actual atar 50% interview

It's a pretty popular tourist destination. It's about 35-38 all year. It's probably not the most happening place, but if you like the beach you'll love it.

The most active place is the hospital. Theres no traffic in the city even on a monday morning say 8-10am because most people go to work at the hospital. Talking to people there, the army people can get a bit "rough" when they are drunk but if you are an uni student its suggested you stick to the suburbs and the uni. I wouldnt say it was a "hole" because the population is expanding so rapidly, there is literary new suburbs coming out every half year but the place is quite run down.

It feels really hot there because its humid, but the beaches are really nice espicially if you go to magnetic island. Not many international tourist, mainly queenslanders and other Australians for tourists since people rather go brisbane and gold coast

Did anyone get letters saying that they have "not" considered your application yet?

All applicants get that letter, whether or not they have an interview or not. This is because there are second round interviews after your actual atar comes out
