First of all, are you an average student, below average or above?
If you think you can pull off 35+ then jacks will most likely not help you and you will feel like you're wasting 2 hours of your time each week. If you learn from notes then get a friend to grab you an extra set or something, but honestly they aren't that useful.

@Jacks its $20 for 2 hrs (more like 1hr 45 mins) a week, with on average about 40-60 students in a smaller session with up to 90 students (very full during the revision lessons). Besides from having a full classroom, the notes are pretty good (you get 1 set a week) and his teaching methods is alright, he tries to make it fun, maybe tries too hard sometimes. If you're someone who is aiming for 30~40 Jacks is the right tutor, but I don't think by going to his lessons alone can get you 40+. I don't know much about Derrick Ha though so you'd best ask someone else

Derrick does them at his house - in Wheelers Hill

Dha tutors at wheelers hill which is around the South of Melboourne unfortunately near springvale or keysborough? where most of the gd tutors live :(
40 bucks for 80 minute sessions
but i know his lectures are gd but not sure about weekly tutoring classes - but its a fair price to pay for a tutor like HIM i think

Take into consideration tutoring experience as well. Jack has something like 20 years compared to derrick ha who has had 3(?)

But DH has six 50s, a perfect ENTER and a crap load of prizes, awards, etc. (i'm not putting down Jack though, I have heard Jack is also really good, but just not as good)

I might just buy his notes though, Springvale is like 1 and a half hours from where am (by train or car) :(

I think Jack is overrated. I've seen his notes, and they're just ordinary.. just saying.

Which notes are you referring to Andrew? Because I reckon the Methods ones must have looked like Hebrew to you.  :2funny:

Ordinary my ass.  :uglystupid2:

AFAIK Senani, Jack's notes are ordinary. Similar notes could be extracted from something called a textbook.  ;D

It's easy to access Jack's notes for some lazy people, they just need to go to the revision classes in September and get all the sets printed for them for $20 (i.e. that lesson). IMO trying so hard for these slackers isn't worth Jack's time however the lessons themselves are pretty good

Yes, but you see Andrew, that takes time.

In that time, one could paint a lovely picture, made even lovelier with their Art degree.

Can you guys take this to PMs or MSN or something else please? You guys have now spammed two threads...

Thanks.

Back to the topic, I am just going to go with Derrick Ha, he seems to really know his stuff and I have found that his notes look more comprehensive.
