State cohort will be bad. The teachers give them easy marks but then there exam brings them down. Its the opposite for us.
Im aiming for 43. Thanks bro. Karma +1, reason: made me relieve some stress :)

Do you think this years cohort will be stronger than last years?

An aggregate of 144 will get a lower ATAR than last year?

Schools get the results the previous day.
Are you allowed to ask the school? :P

You can ask all you like, they won't tell you...
True story, my father is a school principal and my brother went to his school. Even though my dad knew his result a day early, he wouldn't tell him

I dunno but by the looks of it it changed dramatically last year as opposed to 2007/08 ('07 90.00 ENTER was 161.6 AP; '08 was 161.0; '09 was 158.0) . Apparently they release the aggregate table on the 10th of December so you can find out then

Personally I would be using the 2008 aggregate table to make estimates as it needs a higher AP to get the same ATAR as you would with last year's. By doing this you won't get your hopes up if they suddenly rise it again this year

I wonder if all exams have been marked. I'd think that the vast majority must have been by now.

Yeah I think most are marked by now, my teacher marked about 400 already and that was last Tuesday. Probably need a lot of days for processing w/o much human activity

Wow I feel for you guys, really.
I mean I got my [Year 10] exam results practically the day after by approaching the teacher.
Obviously I'm not a very patient guy...:P

I do Indo and I can't believe they had all the exams marked a week after the exam! 0_0

For me, I'll be ridiculously nervous for the whole week leading up to results, and checking my texts every 2 seconds on that Monday morning.

And then cry/celebrate accordingly.

It's my first 3/4 results, and I'm so nervous! I can't imagine having to wait for your ATAR as well as your study scores. :S

Loving that so many of you have opted to stay up all night and drink, haha!

It's what i've planned to do since the start of the year.

Except, i'll be staying up for a whole week, considering i won't be able to sleep, due to nervous/excited anticipation.

The only people who should be nervous are the ones that they didn't give their best because really if you gave it all you could then whatever score you get is what you should be happy with.

Personally I think I'l fall short of the 97.9 I need but its okay because I know I did all I could as such will have no regrets.

lol I didn't give it my best but I still don't think I could have done much better on any of the exams I did so I'm in a predicament. :P

I have currently no idea where I'm going to be on the Sunday (hopefully at a friend's house instead of interstate) but an allnighter sounds like a fun idea.
