I thought there was only one place to see your results (resultsandatar.vic.edu.au)

It's your birthday. Say your birthday is 15th of October, the PIN would be 1510.

Edit: Mustn't have seen a whole page of replies. =D

Isn't it a unified service now? Or does VTAC still provide separate results?

Yeah, I am checking VCAA first because I want to see my study scores only first, that way I will have a good indication of what the ATAR might be. :)

I think VTAC is separate, because last year the Year 12s were nice enough to tell us our scaled scores, and these didn't come up on the VCAA site.

omg that picture scares me. So you can look at your study scores separately from your ATAR?

Nah :P

VTAC is the top one which tells you your ATAR  :S

http://merspi.com.au/questions/394/whats-the-difference-between-getting-my-results-from-vcaa-and-vtac

The VCAA one which is down the bottom and similar to what aleitu posted has two different parts to it, one for study scores, and one for ATAR.  :)

Yep

VCAA merely marks the exams and provides the rank for each student based on exam scores. These VCAA created scores are called RAW.
Thats the end of VCAA's involvement.
VTAC then takes this data and attempts to standidise the diffculity, eg; further RAW scores are marked down, and Spesh scores are marked up.
After applying these 'mark ups' and 'mark-downs', the SCALED scores are created. When added, the ATAR is created.
:)

@ _avO - pretty good pick-up for a non-sci student :)

Seems like both will tell you according to what everyone has said.
