*Opens up Chapter 3 Psychology Units 3/4 4th Edition: SLEEP*

"Generally, restorative theories propose that sleep provides ‘time out’ to help us recover from depleting activities during waking time that
use up the body’s physical and mental resources. For example, sleep provides an opportunity for the body to replenish the stores of energy that have been depleted during the day. It also allows any damaged cells to be repaired and various muscles to be detoxified or to rid themselves of
waste products."

In the end, it's as 'Stonecold' said. You need to know your own body, and give it the time it needs to repair.
Personally? ~9hours.

I normally just get home (from training or otherwise), procrastinate until 9pm, work until I get sick of it and procrastinate some more until 12am or a little after. I've been getting around 6 hours of sleep so at least my sleep pattern has been consistent (which in my opinion is just as important as getting lots of sleep in general).

I wish there was 30 hours in a day...

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

I personally, sleep around 11 and wake up at 7. Works for me.

HIBERNATION FTW!

That sums up my holidays. Catch up on sleep.

On great days, 11:30 - 7:30.

On bad days (as in last night) 2:30am - 7 ==

I work best at around 7-8 hours sleep.. when I sleep for more than 8 hours I become a vegetable and I can't think.

Lol. Sometimes on the holidays i can sleep up to 13 hours ~ After that, I become a zombie until the next morning or so...

During Yr 11 I often took an hour nap after school - but sometimes that became counterproductive as i oversleep sometimes :P

Productive Naps, for anyone who needs it: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/58060/how_to_take_a_productive_nap.html?cat=5

99.95 Don't go to sleep. Go study.
That's quite ridiculous. You can't possibly do well if you don't sleep all year, because you'll just be drowsy all the time while studying. More like <10  Don't go to sleep. Go study.
"the innocent sleep, /Sleep that knits up the raveled sleave of care, /The death of each day's life, sore labor's bath, Balm of hurt minds, great nature's second course,/ Chief nourisher in life's feast."

I'm probably going to aim to get ~8h a night as usual :)

COME ON YOU'RE BETTER THAN THAT!

I might do 15 hours of studying a day on the holidays and then feel all relaxed during the year :p
