That could be due to the regular database backup currently. If the transfer speed is a little slow, then files being backed up cannot be edited for a minute... maybe?

For the question of only being able to post in some areas on and off, the main one for me is the General University Discussion one.
I was in need of making a thread about half year apps but can't make one since there is no option and I can't reply to my older thread either.

Issue: Most online is not pulling from the stat database.
Issue: My own posts from another computer are being marked as unread.

Suggestion: Global most online as well as individual forum most online.
Suggestion: Include browsing the notes as 'online' as well.

When you imported karma descriptions and PMs, you lost the karma descriptions and PMs that had been done since AN was launched yesterday.

It's not particularly problematic, because copies of the PMs I received were sent to my hotmail. However, it says I have one new message (a PM I didn't read before you imported the old ones), and I can't figure out how to make it go away.

No rush though, but I thought I'd mention it.


Edit: All good now... my "one new message" gone. That was all that was annoying me. I don't think anyone cares about one day's worth of karma descriptions and PMs missing. Don't waste time with it.

Everytime I log on to VN, I get the New PM popup, so it opens a new page but the new PM doesn't appear in my inbox? I can confirm that there is in fact a message as I received it by email with the message in it, but it doesn't appear in VN inbox?

That disappeared when I received a new PM from someone. It must of reset the "new PMs" count or something. I'll send to a PM to you now. Read it, refresh the page, sign out, sign back in and see if the "new message" alert goes away.
