Sorry very stupid question, but yeah title asks it.
I'm doing Accounting in uni and thought whether it's a good idea to keep my CAS?
Are CAS even allowed in exams etc?
If not I'll hand it down to my cousin. Thanks :)

No, they didn't allow my CAS in the exam, only scientific calculators are allowed.

Engineering subjects are one of the few where they don't care what calculator you use. In fact the only science subjects where you don't use a calculator in the exams is Maths

I swear to god, the best part of first year was getting to look like a genius in front of people who were too reliant on their calculator.

I find the cas calculator is most useful in engineering where it's easier to graph and numerically integrate and solve simultaneous equations. For chemistry, a scientific calculator is sufficient

I've never used a graphics calculator at uni. For physics and engineering you get to use a scientific and for maths you don't get a calculator at all.
